DevOps Event

Seeing that we're about midway through the year, we thought it'd be a great time to do a reset and talk about DevOps from a high level. This month, we'll be discussing "What is DevOps exactly? What do you think it is? How does it fit into today's technology company? and What are the primary drivers of its success or failure?"

Leading the discussion will be Jason Wiener, Chief Awesome Officer of Hyperdrive.

Jason is a 22-year technology entrepreneur and 6x founder and CTO. He's repeatedly raised financing from angels and top-tier venture firms, bootstrapped companies from inception through profitability, and grown publicly-traded and privately-held organizations in varying sizes and structures. He speaks publicly at top Universities and conferences and has appeared in Newsweek, BusinessWeek, Wired and other top technology publications.

The DevOps Community is built around job functions and key areas with all experience levels from beginner to advanced scrum master / DevOps kung fu welcome. This will be a warm, informal, friendly gathering of Central Oregon based programmers, developers, IT professionals and project managers.

DevOps Community Happy Hour

"Microservices are generating a lot of buzz lately and it seems like people are falling into two camps – the enthusiastic (“Wow, this will solve everything!”) and the negative (“They’re expensive and won’t work in reality.”) Thankfully, there’s been enough experience over the past decade with this that we can draw some conclusions and come to a middle ground on this very exciting new architecture for developing and creating highly available, fault tolerant applications and services."

We have set aside time specifically to get to know the people in the room and receive feedback on future topics.

The DevOps Community is built around job functions and key areas with all experience levels from beginner to advanced scrum master / DevOps kung fu welcome. This will be a warm, informal, friendly gathering of Central Oregon based programmers, developers, IT professionals and project managers.
